GOUTY ARTHRITIS-Definition:
Gout arthritis is a type of arthritis and a sudden attack identified by severe pain, tenderness, swelling, and redness in joints. It occurs when the amount of uric acid increases in the bloodstream. It pains when a high amount of Uric acid accumulate in the joints. The pain begins from our big toe in the leg and spreads to other knee and joints gradually. Gouty arthritis in Tamil is ‘கீல்வாதம்’ and historically as ‘Disease of Rich’ or ‘Disease of King’.
CAUSES OF GOUTY ARTHRITIS:
Sweating and urinating release uric acid. Since uric acid dissolves in blood and flows through urine to Kidney.
